Overview

Veritywork is a contributor network for data annotation. After you create a profile and pass review, we match you to projects where human judgment improves datasets used to train and evaluate AI systems.

This policy covers the Veritywork website and signed-in areas: accounts, identity review, project matching, and wallet activity. Instructions for a specific client program apply to the task itself and do not replace this policy.

Information we collect

We collect what you give us, what the platform records as you work, and limited technical data.

  • Account details, including your email address, sign-in credentials, and an optional referral code.
  • Profile details you enter for matching and identity review: legal name, city, country, state where it applies, and your main industry.
  • Review and verification status, including whether a check was sent, approved, or not approved.
  • Work records, such as projects you are matched to and the status of your contributor account.
  • Wallet records: balance, credits, payout method, and payout requests.
  • Messages you send us, including support and privacy requests.
  • Technical data such as IP address and basic request logs, used to keep the service secure.

We store passwords only in hashed form. We do not ask you to send identity documents to us by email.

How we use it

  • Create and secure your account, including sign-in and account notices.
  • Review eligibility and complete identity checks before project access.
  • Match verified contributors to open annotation and evaluation projects by industry and fit.
  • Show project descriptions, estimated time, and estimated pay.
  • Credit approved earnings and review payout requests.
  • Maintain quality, investigate misuse, and enforce our terms.
  • Respond to support requests and improve reliability of the platform.

We do not use contributor profiles to build advertising audiences, and we do not sell personal information.

Project materials

Annotation work often involves material a client has not released publicly: text, images, documents, model outputs, or guidelines. That material is confidential. It is not part of your public profile.

Veritywork keeps the records needed to match you and operate your account. Labels, ratings, and written judgments you submit for a project are work product for that program. Clients receive what they need to review quality and use the dataset. They do not receive copies of your identity documents.

Identity verification

Eligible applicants complete a government ID check through a specialized verification provider. Veritywork stores the status and outcome of that check so we know whether your account can enter matching.

Document images and biometric checks are handled by the provider under its own privacy terms. We use the result to confirm that the person on the account matches the profile you submitted.

Sharing

We share personal information only as needed to run the platform:

  • Infrastructure and database providers that host the application.
  • Email providers that deliver verification links and account messages.
  • The identity verification provider, when you start an ID check.
  • Payment and payout partners, when you request a withdrawal.
  • Client teams, limited to work product and quality information for projects you are assigned. They do not receive your identity documents.
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or when disclosure is needed to protect contributors, clients, or the integrity of the service.

Providers may process information in countries other than yours. We engage them to perform services for Veritywork, not to use your information for their own marketing.

Cookies

A secure session cookie keeps you signed in. It is required for the account, waiting page, dashboard, and wallet. We may also measure aggregate visits so we can see whether the site is working. We do not use cookies to sell personal information or to follow you across unrelated sites for ads.

Security & retention

Access to contributor records is limited to people who operate the platform. We use hashed passwords and protected sessions. No online service can promise perfect security; if we learn of a breach that affects your account, we will notify you when we are required to do so.

We keep account, matching, and wallet records while your account is open and afterward for as long as we need them for payouts, tax and accounting duties, fraud prevention, and legal claims. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or de-identify it.

Your choices

  • Update your payout method from the wallet, unless a request is already pending review.
  • Sign out on a device to end that session.
  • Ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information, subject to records we must keep to pay you or meet a legal duty.

Privacy requests go to the address in Contact. Include the email on your account so we can find the right profile. We may need to confirm it is you before we change or delete records.

Age

Veritywork is for adults who can enter a contract and perform remote project work. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will close it.

Changes

When we update this policy, we change the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide a notice in the product or by email when that is practical.
